He held multiple leadership roles, including President, Vice President, Secretary, Registrar, and Webmaster. He coached championship-winning teams at the U8 (2010), U10 (2012), and U12 (2014) levels, and served as Team Manager for the club’s 2018 U14 tour to Ireland. His long-standing commitment to coach development is reflected in a broad set of certifications, including USA Rugby Level I (1995), Level II (1996), Level 100 (2011), Level 200 (2014), “Introducing Rugby” (2008), and Positive Coaching Alliance (2009).
In San Diego, Guy played a significant role in the Legion’s early years and was instrumental in establishing the Legion Community Foundation. He continues to serve as a Foundation Board Member, supporting values-based youth development and philanthropic programming that promotes education, health, and respect across the community.
Professionally, Guy has had a 30+ year career in pharmaceutical development. He currently serves as the Director of Clinical QA at Vaxcyte, Inc and provides quality oversight of their pneumococcal pneumonia clinical program.
