U15 International Tour (Participation Tours)

Life-changing international rugby and cultural experiences - separate to the Legion Academy.

The Legion Community Foundation recognizes the value of international exposure for youth development. The U15 tour has been created to provide youth players the opportunity to participate in an international rugby tour and enjoy a life-changing experience.

These tours are not part of the Legion Academy. They should be considered participation tours and do not form part of, or feed into, the Legion Academy’s established long-term, high-performance skill acquisition programs for U16 and U18 players.

Key Notes

  • U14/U15 touring sides are not Academy teams and are not a San Diego representative team.
  • Players will not complete Legion Academy sessions as part of these tours.
  • Participant-pays only: no financial assistance is provided by the Legion Community Foundation.

Where this sits relative to the U16/U18 Legion Academy

The Legion Academy is a U16/U18 development program focused on long-term skill acquisition and high-performance training. U14/U15 tours are separate participation opportunities and do not replace or replicate the Academy program.

Help Subsidize Tour Costs for Underprivileged Players

International tours can be life-changing - but cost can be a barrier. We’re raising funds to help underprivileged players access these opportunities through needs-based tour subsidies, ensuring talent and character - not financial means - determine who can participate.

All donations support youth rugby opportunities through the Legion Community Foundation (a California 501(c)(3)).
