Matty Sandoval is currently the head rugby coach at Torrey Pines High School, and the Assistant Head Coach for the San Diego Mustangs U18s. He’s coached high school rugby for the past 15 years. He is a graduate of the University of San Diego, as well as USD Law School, and is actively involved in their rugby alumni association. He was instrumental in connecting the San Diego Legion with Mira Costa College during the formation of the Legion Collegiate Academy.
Professionally, he is a local attorney who has represented San Diego’s disabled for the past thirty-two years. He is a big fan of San Diego sports, holding season tickets to the Padres for the past twenty-five years, the Chargers for twenty-three years, and USD basketball for the past fifteen years.
