ASYMCA
The ASYMCA has been helping serve and strengthen our local military families for 160 years, by providing a constant support during deployment, when transitioning between bases, and in times of conflict and peace. They branch out to all six armed services, being Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, Space Force and Coast Guard.
In 2018, SD Legion hosted a toy drive for their annual Operation Holiday Joy, collection donations of new and unwrapped toys and gift cards for children ages 0-18 years. With the help of our staff and Legion fans we were able to make the holiday season a little brighter for our brave service men & women.
The Legion Community Foundation is proud to support our troops through the Armed Services YMCA by fundraising for the Online School Program. This program provides computer and internet access to kids can attend their online classes. Additionally, the Legion proudly donates to the Big Bay Boom, which helps support the ASYMCA with their programming.
